SIZING ASSESSMENT
PIR Group has been assisting customer in the sizing of their target platform for the past 10 years. Due to the constant changes in the technology and platform releases the sizing algorithm is constantly changing. Current and future workloads must be taken into consideration. Please call to discuss.For an iSeries equivalent in size to the current mainframe use the following:
Multiply the total number of MIPS by 10 to get the equivalent CPW for your iSeries.
Multiply the number of used gig's by 3 to get the total internal iSeries DASD
(Of course if you are only using 50% capacity cut the MIPS in half. Alternately if you plan to add additional work loads we recommend you give us a call.)
